Happy New Blog Day!

So I started this blog. I cannot guarantee continuity or relevance, just ramblings of a bored, temporary cripple.

Some sort of "bang" began my summer when I was hit by a car on my bike the day before June.  I fractured my tibia and fibula, underwent the surgical installation of 8 screw and a plate, and my adorable, speedy, love-of-my-life bike went from this:

I know that the "after" picture looks as though only there is only damage to the front tire, but in real life, the whole frame is bowed at the crank from the impact of the car.  I will possibly post a better picture of this eventually.

Thus, this accident has set the tone of my summer as broken; staying with my parents for the free cable, ac, food and lovin'.  It has already been 6 weeks since the accident, and I have roughly 4-6 weeks until I can walk bootless and crutchless again.  Until then, I will be documenting my time via this blog.  Lucky you, phantom reader! ;)
